Muhsinah is a GRAMMY-nominated vocalist, songwriter and producer who creates music that explores the boundaries of genre and transports listeners through multi-dimensional sounds.

A native of Washington D.C., she is a graduate of both Duke Ellington School of the Arts--where she competed and performed as a classically trained pianist--and Howard University--where she earned a degree in Jazz Composition within three years. She cites Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones and Nirvana among her top musical influences.

A music industry gem, Muhsinah has gone on to collaborate with incomparable artists including Common, The Foreign Exchange (with whom she earned a Best Urban/Alternative Performance GRAMMY-nomination for her work on 'Daykeeper'), Robert Glasper, The Weeknd and Flying Lotus.

EBONY Magazine notes that, "Muhsinah's voice is a malleable, sublime instrument, unique in the way that she bends straight ahead R&B." A one-woman show who seeks to defy any limits placed on her artistry, Muhsinah is expected to release a new EP every month in 2016.
