With all the love okayplayer.com has shown Muhsinah since the release of day.break last tuesday it came as a bit of a surprise to see all of the wonderful things El Keter, okp’s resident blogger, had to say today; almost a week later

Excerpted: Feeling something like a Hip-Hop-influenced take on the Rotary Connection’s psychedelic mix of Soul, Jazz, and Pop, day.break finds Muhsinah’s ethereal multi-tracked vocals scuttling through, skittering around, and soaring over a dust-coated array of cavernous drum-beats, hand-claps, and dirtily-filtered and chopped samples that would make Madlib and Dilla proud.

With the success of the web exclusive release on iTunes we can only hope that the love continues to pour in as availability of the web exclusive extends other digital retailers Nov. 27th and as we prepare to release the CD and the Limited Edition 2.0 disc with the help of the good folks at Fat Beats.

Granted it’s only day 02, but people are already talking. The record has been receiving great reviews on itunes and was just reviewed and therefore featured on the frontpage of www.okayplayer.com

Featured just below Jay Z’s American Gangster, Muhsinah faired only one half fro shy of your favorite rapper’s rating. What a day? Who could possibly complain?

    Yay Muhsinah!
