Top 10 Least Known Facts about the Golden Girl

1. My name is pronounced Mu•see•na.
2. In my spare time I like to read, sketch and watch children’s movies (because they have the BEST and most imaginative scores).
3. From the ages of 3-8, I studied ballet.
4. I started playing piano at age 11. (…as in 17 years ago. Gah!)
5. In 2005 I received my certification for Pro Tools engineering.
6. I can sight read sheet music, write music notation and arrange for big band and/or orchestras.
7. On stage, I almost always play a voyager or little phatty synthesizer as I am endorsed by moog music.
8. As a member of Common’s band I’ve performed for the president on two separate occasions. Once at the hometown inaugural ball and later at the 2010 democratic rally in Hyde Park, Chicago.
9. In 2010 I was nominated for a “Best Vocal Performance” Grammy® in the Urban Alternative Category, for my work with The Foreign Exchange.
10. I generally write, arrange, produce, compose, record and even mix all my own music.
